Natural Witches

So this is one of those photoshoots where I decided to try something different stylistically. From the style of the shoot and wardrobe down to the style of my editing I wanted to switch things up.

Every so often, I get bored and decide to do one of these portfolio shoots where I test out something different. These test shoots aren’t always successful but they’re a chance to play around. Honestly, I’m still on the fence about these photos. They’re some of my older photos in the set and I think it’s mostly that I shot and edited these to be much lighter than my usual. Plus I feel like I over edited them but I’m including these in the batch to show that on the road to developing your photographic style there will be several bumps.

Plus I love this concept and definitely want to reshoot these under different lighting conditions (I shot these at high noon slightly overexposed). Typically I shoot either early in the morning or later in the afternoon/evening and underexpose my shots. I don’t like a lot of light. And I especially love to shoot in shadows as well. So this shoot was an over all challenge but at the end of the day it was a test and I learned something. Plus everything was worth it because we had a whole group of people come out and we turned it into a chill afternoon at the park. Can’t go wrong when you’re having fun with friends.
