I first met Jay when I was shooting an Akira event in Chicago and let me tell you his energy is infectious.
He’s so damn fun to be around so we spent a day running around Chicago shooting so many different outfits. These type of shoots are my dream come true; shooting with someone dope in one of my favourite cities without any set agendas. We would wander from neighborhood to neighborhood just exploring. That’s it. There was no big production of hair and make up and organizing a crew of people. It was Jay (his fabulous make up and styling skills not to mention deep ass closet), myself, and a camera.
Shoots don’t have to be highly produced to produce quality work. All that matters is having fun!
